Characters involved in the Birthday Party installation. Each is an indirect representation of my identity from the past or present.

The installation itself contains multiple guests which have all been led from separate walkways of ideas. I let the installation become it’s own before reading into why these people are there. The guests retain the power over the viewer, something I wish I had. The tripod has the interchangeable identity, something I have. And my Dad’s dead body is sat at the table, something I had. I believe they are representing different parts of me, with the separate identities, and are intimidating my Dad, gaining power over him at last. He has almost been forced to be present and to finally love me.
